NTV7’s “Yuan Carnival” was created and launched early last year to reach out to its faithful viewers throughout Malaysia. This year, “Yuan Carnival” again returned to Penang & had brought cheers to the local community here at Han Chiang High School on 13th & 14th of August 2011. The opening of the event was graced by YB Dato’ Yong Khoon Seng, Deputy Minister of Works Malaysia on Saturday. There were roadshows from NTV7 series like ” Forget Me Not”, “The Perfect Gentleman” & a few other local artists like William San, Remon Lim, Coby Chong, Wayne Chua, Jordan Voon, Angela Chan, Leslie Chai, Jojo Goh and the very handsome Adrian Tan were there too!!
Michael Huang and Joanne Lien came to Penang all the way from Taiwan. You would probably know them if you or your mum watches Hokkien Drama (yes, the very dramatic story lines they ALWAYS have). We are very proud to welcome our very own Victor Lee from Malaysian Idol & as well as Namewee making an appearance promoting his first movie Nasi Lemak 2.0. There were “Go Green” workshops, gameshows a few booths for promotional services from Celcom, One FM (with their DJs), Star Cruise, Firefly & of course, FOOD FAIR!
What would a carnival be without a Game Show? One FM DJs had a bet on “Who has more fans in Facebook?”. Those who lost have to experience a mouthful delicate Sushi with WASABI!! Best of all, the loser has to pick a few of his faithful fans to enjoy the delicacy with him.
“I was laughing my diaphragm inside out watching our staff, Tennee ran to the backstage because she couldn’t stand the Wasabi!” – Marilyn

The Cat Studio was invited to be the judges of the “Student Singing Competition” as well as the “Adult Karaoke Singing Competition”. It was our pleasure to celebrate such a awesome event together with NTV7, our Feel Good Channel. We were very proud to see the new generation rising up as talented singers & dancers.
