The year of 2011 have brought us many independent film makers and with the term ‘cinematographer’, making films have became popular, and you will see videos being uploaded to youtube really often, you can’t count! These current trend we live in has brought many young people, labeled  ’generation y’, to take up cinematography as a career.

Television have been the main platform for videos and now even social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and more became very popular platform to show off videos.

What is a video without a proper voice over and music?

Having a good video shoot, edited and cut is one. But without proper voice overs and music, your videos are more likely to be better than nothing. Forgive our harshness here, but have you ever tried watching a horror movie with the sound muted? You would definitely find the horror movie to be not scary at all.

    Hi CAT Studio

    Do you do voice-overs (dubbing) for cartoons? As in, translated to BM for local TV? If you do, or if you’re planning to get into that any time soon, I want to be a translator/polisher for such projects. Fluent in English, BM, some Chinese; Plan to master Japanese, Korean and French in the future.

    thanks for your email. what I tried to say is I wasn’t planning to be a voice-over artist, I just want to be a behind-the-scene member, i.e. translator. But I’ve thought about being a VO before; not a cartoon/telenovela dubber (which looks like it demands more skills) but a documentary narrator. Sadly, I cannot attend to this now cos I’m about to join another company as a translator – for literature. Anyway, thanks again.

    I’d got info from someone (CL himself, above) that this studio is at penang. well, currently I’m studying at bukit mertajam, penang. I’m intrested in voice-over/dubbing, but i have no experience. can you reply me, how can I, join in? do i need to go for audition? (sorry for my bad english)
